11th admission 2026-27: groups, documents and fee concession

The months around the Class 10 public exams are busy. This page walks you through what to do before and after the results, so your child's Class XI (11th) admission is smooth.
Before the Class 10 results
- Talk about the future: medicine, engineering, computers, commerce or business? This decides the Class XI group.
- Shortlist schools that offer the group your child wants.
- Keep documents ready: birth certificate, transfer certificate, Aadhaar card, and photocopies.
- Ask about concessions linked to Class 10 marks.
After the Class 10 results
- Collect the Class 10 mark statement.
- Confirm the group and apply quickly – Higher Secondary seats are limited.
- Apply for any merit concession with the mark statement.
Class XI groups at TJMHSS
All groups study Part 1: Tamil and Part 2: English, plus one group:

Class XI fee concession: 10% to 70%
At TJMHSS, Class XI students are eligible for a tuition fee concession from 10% to 70%, based on their performance in the Class X public examination. Students from single-parent families may also be considered.
Admission rules to know
- Higher Secondary admission is at the Principal's discretion and as per the academic eligibility norms for the year.
- The admission process is merit-based and subject to seat availability; recommendations are not entertained.
- The original and a photocopy of the transfer certificate and Aadhaar card are needed at admission.
